The child is 4 Months old in 1871……born out of wedlock
As you say you have used Ancestry, you must have seen all the censuses, at least, so you should know how many children are living with them on each of them
|
Is this them in 1871? Have submitted corrections

The marriage cert is on FMP
27th March 1871……his father HENRY
Over to you…….
|
Seems the marriage was in Staffordshire
He was born in Shrewsbury according to 1871 census
|
Presumably you have ALL censuses from when the couple married…..whenever that was. Which was the last on which either of them appear? Look for deaths after those dates in the area in which they were last seen
Get a copy of the marriage certificate to find out if he knew his father’s name
If births were registered, they will be on the GRO site which gives MMN…….I’m pretty sure I’ve given you info about it before.

Hi Everybody,
hope you are all well.
I am looking for some information on my x2 great-grandfather. I have hit a dead end.
Edward Evans was born in 1850 in Shropshire. He married Sarah Johnson they had 2 children.
Sarah Evans 1873-1949 Edward Evans 1878-1912
Did Edward and Sarah have anymore children? who are Edwards's Parents? Death dates.
I have looked at sites however, l have hit a dead end.
Ancestry, BMd etc.
thanks
