Rothbury is only about 25 miles from Newcastle. It is quite possible that William would put his POB as Newcastle as people would have heard of it.

The William Brown with twin John Alexander was born JAS 1894 in Rothbury district..............NOT Newcastle

I have a William Brown born 1895c possibly a twin with John Alex Northumberland
ancestry have a US WW1 Attestation paper 1914-1918 William Brown born Newcastle Northumberland He was in Northumberland in 1911 with his brothers
I was hoping some one could look at this to find out if it is my William his parents were James Brown And Margaret Patterson who died 1904 & 1906
