It also says Edward is a farm labourer on 1871 but in 1861 and 81/91/1901 he is a Carpenter.

Couldn't help noticing on that 1871 census the father-in-law's details............
Occupation: Seaman, unemployed.................what did they expect him to be doing - he was said to be 102 years old!!!!!

I suspect that her birth just wasn't registered as I can't find a registration for her brother John either.

Nothing for her on the GRO site.

I can't find her after 1871 either.

Your post isn’t clear as to what you’re looking for. Please clarify

IF.......as I suspect - you mean there isn’t a birth registration on freebmd I’m sure you know that until 1875 there were no penalties for NOT registering

Have you looked at the GRO site where you can input MMN?
