I have emailed London Metropolitan Archives to ask for advice or to see if they can perform a search.
Does anyone know any other site that i might find this document other than Ancestry.
Can anyone take a look at it and see if they can read it . I am struggling with the handwriting

Thanks
Linda

Hi Maylon

My Elizabeth went on to marry Edward Brewer a man 30 years her senior.
She had 4 more children and then left home one day sometime after 1911 and just disappeared.

Evening

I have found this document on Ancestry .

Its a relieving officers report Fulham Union dated 31st August 1898

Name: Elizabeth Jane Carter
Gender: Female
Record Type: Birth
Birth Date: 16 Aug 1879
Birth Poor Law Union: Hammersmith
Birth Place: Hammersmith, Hammersmith and Fulham, England
Father: William Carter
Mother: Sarah Carter
Register Type: Parish Registers

I am thinking this might be regarding the birth of her son Harry Carter
This is the info on his birth certificate

7 DEC 1898 • Union Infirmary Fulham London

Name - Harry Carter
Sex - Male
Father - Not Given
Mother - Elizabeth Carter a General Servant (Domestic) of 50 Latimer Road Hammersmith
Fathers Occupation Not Given
Signature E Carter Union Infirmary Register 9th December 1898

When i have viewed the image on ancestry there is a blue piece of paper over the page. it says its an application for a search. .it must have been awhile ago as it mentions 2s 7d so prior decimalisation

I suppose what i am asking is how can i get to see the complete page ?. Is there another site that i can search or apply to see a copy of the original . Can you apply for an original copy.?

Also I;m not sure what the rest of the writing on the page is telling me. I can see 50 Latimer rd mentioned which is the address on Harrys birth cert.. Also something about Chaplain Service ?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks
Linda
