Clara Maud Law was the wife of Arthur Law; she predeceased him in 1895 in the village of Silverdale, Lancashire.

We have all other details about her EXCEPT the possibility of her Will and/or Probate records. So please don't waste your precious time going after any of the other family details!!

I have searched and searched to try to locate her Will. They led a very good lifestyle and she had money in her own right. This would be the final piece of the puzzle.

Many thanks in advance. :-)

Malyon found that on family Search, a free site.

https://www.familysearch.org

It also shows up on BNA here on GR (under "Search" at top right of this page.
I don't have any credits left on GR to look at the image.

It's only a death notice - no Will or probate.

This dodgy partial mistranscription is as much as BNA shows without a BNA sub or GR credits:

There's no Will or probate for her showing on this site:

https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk

Most likely she didn't own anything herself - it would all be her husband's.

That's before the Married Woman's Act, so everything she had belonged to her husband.

You would almost certainly not find a will by her unless she died after her husband.

I have one case where husband and wife died 6 weeks apart in 1869, but he died first so she also had a will and probate

I have another where the wife died in 1918, no will. Her husband died in 1921, and his will went to Probate but requested by the Public Trustee ...... not too sure why because he had adult children but it may be thta he didn't update it after leaving everything to his wife (he was in the equivalent of our present-day care home).

They don't take up any space on your computer, and they may just possibly help someone else
