We know that, Ellen, but the info isn’t on Ancestry, FMP or familysearch

Your only possible way of finding anything is at the relevant Records Office

As far as I can deduce from your posts, you are guessing that the man born 1635 was the father of the one born 1665. There doesn’t appear at the moment to be any absolute proof of this

I think I have found my Joseph Blackham born 1634 in Staffordshire to Thomas Blackham & Elinor Heath.
He was actually born Thomas Joseph Blackham born 1635 WB Staffordshire he married a Abigail ? in 1654 in Sussex.
I came across this information whilst looking thru all of my Blackham Hints on Ancestry

Have you found actual records to prove this?

Ancestry Hints are only suggestions about people who seem similar to the ones in your tree. They are not necessarily the same people, or even accurate.

Crucially, they include "info" from other people's trees, which, as said earlier in this thread, isn't always correct.

I don't see any record of a marriage of a Thomas (or Joseph) Blackham marrying an Abigail, on Ancestry or on FS.

For that matter, I don't see the baptism of a Thomas Joseph Blackham in 1635 either.

There's the 1635 baptism for the Joseph Blackham you originally thought was your man, and there's a 1634 baptism of a Thomas Blackham, in West Brom., and also one in 1633.
But no Thomas Joseph.

There is a tree on Ancestry, as suspected, which has Thomas Joseph Blackham.

The baptism record they have attached to that is the one for Joseph Blackham, which you already thought was the baptism of your Joseph.

There's no suggestion on the record that his name was Thomas Joseph.

There is no record of the baptism of a Thomas Joseph Blackham.

The tree owner claims that "Thomas Joseph" and Abigail had two daughters:

Rachel, born 1659 (died 1662, apparently) in Berwick, Sussex - parents Thomas and Abigail - but the surname on the attached record is Blackman, not Blackham. I admit, that may be a mistranscription of the original parish record, or how the clerk though it was spelled.

Elizabeth 1664, born West Brom - but the baptism record attached says the baptism took place in Berwick ,Sussex, parents Thomas & Abigail..

The tree says Abigail died 1674 in Berwick, Sussex.
But no record to back it up, and I can't find any such record.

So much of what has already been posted on here is unlikely - at best - that it's hard to determine what info is even possible, let alone factual.

Looking at the record of your Joseph's supposed parents Thomas and Eleanor, here on Ancestry, I think the tree owner has looked at the "Suggested Records" panel on the Ancestry page, and has assumed the suggestions are actually relevant to Thomas and Eleanor - whereas they are only suggestions, and many are clearly nothing to do with the same family.

To recap............

.............. Joseph BlackMAN (1665) was baptised in WOLVERHAMPTON, father's name Joseph BlackMAN and no evidence has yet been provided to support the theory that he was the son of Joseph BlackHAM born 1635 in West Bromwich
