Looking for Muriel Gladys Palmer who was born in Hartley Witney in 1929. On her birth certificate it says she was adopted. Unfortunately she was born out of wedlock.. I would like to find what happened to her as she is my cousin.

Unfortunately, as she was adopted, her name was almost certainly changed, which will make it impossible to find her via online records.

You could add your name to the Adoption Contact Register:

https://www.gov.uk/adoption-records/the-adoption-contact-register

Then if Muriel also adds her name to it at any time (or may already have done so) you might be able to make contact.

Born 1929 she may no longer be alive sadly

Have you tried looking in members trees to see if anyone has her listed

Muriel was born at a time when formal adoptions were registered, but it is still possible that she could have been taken in by an extended family member.

Have you researched children of her wider family to see if she was adopted by her grandparents / aunts /cousins etc ?..... or perhaps the later husband of her mother?

As David is her cousin, one would expect him to know if she had remained within the family
