Many Thanks ErikaH.. I'll work through that detail, great stuff and appreciated. I think it likely that Joseph's attribution to Henry Grose & wife Mary Sampson is perhaps in error, without a baptism record to say otherwise.. still hoping for a reply though, from a couple of Trees as to how they decided he was son.

Some info simply isn't online - and the only way to find it is to visit a Records Office

Hi ErikaH. Yes I have details for Henry Grose (& his parents) & wife Mary Sampson, married at Kenwyn, plus details of various children christened at Kenwyn but searching Ancestry, Cornwall OPC's, can find nothing for this Joseph, said to be circa 1735 St Stephen in Brannel.. in fact that birth year clashes with that of a verified child of Henry & Mary at Kenwyn.
I have contacted Trees that give Joseph this lineage but no verification offered

Joseph, "said" to have been born circa 1735 St Stephen in Brannel, married Phillipa Perkins on 15 Nov 1759. Probus, Cornwall.
Various Trees claim Joseph as a son of 1702-1770 Henry Grose of Kea and wife Mary, nee Sampson and indeed, they have several children that can be verified.
Of Joseph however, I can find no parental connection. Hoped some more practiced 'eyes' than mine might find some verification of his parentage. All advices Appreciated.
