Thank you grey ghostlooks like you are all on the right William, I will look if he was away at war as just looking on the 1939 register with him not there and as you said war had broken out ,so he would have been away at war, maybe he died in the war as we cannot trace him ,or he could be the one on the post here who died in 1946,and the family Erica put on from Hull are possibly his parents and sibling ,so grateful to you all for the help

The Sculcoates birth is almost certainly NOT connected. I picked up on that birth from the d.o.b. for the man posted in Hadleigh in 1939 who is definitely not your William

Look at Maryb's post!

If he died in WW2 there will be a record on the CWGC site

You don't have to guess (or ask anyone) about the names of William's children - the births can all be found on freebmd

One of their 9 children died in infancy

Deaths Jun 1935 (>99%)
Everitt Marlene 0 Grimsby 7a 678

Only 3 of them are with the mother in 1939.

One wasn't born until 1940, so that leaves 4 unaccounted-for in 1939.
Ahhhhhhhhhh..........................living with maternal grandparents

I thought you wanted factual info about William

greyghost Report 30 Mar 2019 19:00

Elizabeth Annie Jacklin / Corcoran is in 3 members trees on here - go to Search top right of page and then search all members trees. Input details and tree holders will come up. You can then try sending messages to them. Explain why you are trying to find info. - don't just ask for them to open their trees to you.

Don't leave it to chance they try to contact you. And don't be surprised if you don't get n answer - for a variety of reasons !

Repeat with associated names and see what happens.

The Everett / Corcoran Marriage certificate will give declared ages, his occupation and the name and occupation of his Father and possibly whether deceased or not).

It does give age 12 for William on the image but perhaps the enumerator forgot to notate days or weeks after the 12.

I really think this is the correct William (or certainly the correct Everitt family:

Going back to the 1939 posted by Erika for Elizabeth (William's wife):
1939
Durham Household (5 People) 80 Back Of King Edward Street , Grimsby C.B., Lincolnshire (Parts of Lindsey), England

Elisabeth Everett 22 Jul 1901 Unpaid Domestic Duties
Horace Durham 04 Sep 1901 Fish Trauler Deckland-Week By A

Margaret Thompson (Everett) 03 May 1936 Under School Age

In that 1939 household with her was Horace Durham:

Name: Sydney Horace Durham - (this would be William's nephew - son of his sister Jane)
Death Age: 71
Birth Date: 4 Sep 1901
Registration Date: Sep 1972
Registration district: Grimsby
Inferred County: Lincolnshire

Sidney Horace Durham Son - Male 9 1902 School South Ferriby Lincolnshire
Tom Dennis Durham Son - Male 5 1906 - Laceby Lincolnshire

Note that Horace's brother was 'Tom Dennis' - the same name as William & Elizabeth's son:

** I am assuming that Elizabeth and Horace were not 'associated' ? and the children, including Tom Dennis were Williams? However, it was strange though that when William died in 1951 probate was to Eliza Trindall (wife of James) who he was living or at least 'staying' with in 1939.

It is interesting that Horace's brother (William's nephew) had died just 2 years before Tom Dennis Everitt was born so obviously he was named after the first one but had it been his uncle or his cousin he was named after??
