As the birth is less than 100 years ago, You would need to Oder the certificate whereas her marriage was more than 75 years ago, you would be able to use credits and view / download the registration. If you did that, you would also get William's parents' names. As there is no death registered in Scotland for Elizabeth, I'm not sure that you are familiar with Scottish certificates. Scottish marriage certificates name both parents and include the mother's maiden surname.

Like ArgyllGran, I think the marriage she has shown will probably be Elizabeth's parents.

When you are searching Scotlandspeople for female deaths you can enter a woman's married and maiden surnames - very handy if you are researching a common surname. For deaths after c1980, the mother's maiden name is shown on the index.

I would suggest this is probably Elizabeth's parents' marriage - but you'd have to buy the birth cert first, to check.

The birth cert will tell you the names of both parents, and also the place and date of their marriage.

The marriage is here on https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk. It is a pay to view site though.

MCMILLAN

WILLIAM

GOURLAY

ELIZABETH O'ROU

1943

564/1 96

Greenock East

This is taken from the website and is an example of what they charge.

Credits cost £0.25 each and are available in batches of 30 (£7.50) or 40 (£10) from the buy credits page.

The number of credits and costs of digital images for the different record types are as follows:

Statutory registers of births (older than 100 years), marriages (older than 75 years) and deaths (older than 50 years) cost 6 credits (£1.50)
Census returns and church registers of births and baptisms, marriages, deaths and burials and other events cost 6 credits (£1.50)

I would imagine this might be your grandmother's birth but you would have to order the certificate as it's less than 100years ago. You would be able to view the marriage certificate for 6 credits which would give you parents' names and occupation. You could then work backwards from there.
