You may well have gone as far back as possible, John.
The further back you go, the patchier the records become - and often births etc weren't recorded at all.

And unfortunately John Parker's mother's name isn't recorded, which doesn't help:

Hi All
Many thanks everyone for your input, I have been researching my Parkers for more than 6 years mainly using FMP and Family Search. I have been back to the UK recently visting Warmingham, Coppenhall etc. I am reasonably confident that I am on the right track. I struggle further back for info, I have John Parker brn 1744 Sandbach (Warmingham) married Elizabeth Huxley in 1766 his father was John. I am unable to link this person to any brothers or sisters. Is this usual, meaning I am back as far as I can go?
Samuel and Martha are my 3rd Great Grand Parents of this I am sure.
Erika H Thanks for the Thomas I will follow that one up.
There are many Parkers in that area (Church Coppenhall, Warmingham, Moston etc) and most of them are on my tree.
Any help greatly appreciated.

John's GR tree shows entries for Parkers born Warmingham between 1794 and 1806

Nothing as far back as 1744 - so the request is a puzzle

Welcome to the boards John.

If you give us a bit more information we may be able to help, although you're probably lucky to have got back that far.

Tell us how you've got back to that period, what names you have for certain (proved) and give as much info as you can to help us help you.

In the meantimes try the Search facility, top right of the page and then "search all members trees". Input names and approx. dates and area and see if anyone else is researching them. You can then try to make contact with the tree holders, but be aware not everyone is still contactable or will wish/be able to reply.
