Looking for any info regarding this fellas family after 1911.He died in May 1909 in Glasgow-aged 26,only weeks after his wife Mary had their child Robert. He left Mary with 4 children ,all under the age of 5,as a widow.Thomas, aged 4,Lissie aged 2,James aged 1,& Robert only 6 weeks old.(Robert born 1909 is my direct link)
Mary remarried in 1914,in Glasgow,Samuel Hamilton.I'm unsure if they had any children, but would like to find out.
When Robert (1909) died aged 46 in 1955 in Glasgow, his mothers name is given as McGubbin? I've been told that Mary married 3 times,so I'm presuming Samuel Hamilton has died & she's remarried McGubbin. I can't find,at present,a 3rd marriage for her ?-& don't know if she'd had any children to this marriage either?
Robert (1909s) brother James was in Cowdenbeath in 1955,he was the witness on Roberts death certificate, but, apart from that,I've no info on him,Thomas or Lissie. I've got them on the 1911 census, but no info after that.I'd love to be able to trace the rest of Roberts siblings family.
Any info much appreciated,cheers.

Mary's death is indexed with surnames Stewart, Brand, Hamilton and McCubbin. A copy of her death certificate will give Mr. McCubbin's Christian name.

I had a look on there too,I even bought credits, but couldn't see these? (should of gone to Specsavers !)

As you've bought the credits, you can use them looking at Mary's death registration, her marriage to William MCubbin and her daughter Elizabeth's marriage. All the other deaths are within the last 50 years so you would need to buy the certificates.

With Mary's maiden name being Stewart, and Hamilton being a fairly common surname it isn't possible to identify possible children of Mary and Samuel by looking at the death registrations. Mary would have been nearly 60 when she married William McCubbin so they wouldn't have any offspring.

You possibly missed Mary's third marriage if her surname looked like McGubbin on Thomas's death certificate. An easy mistake to make and knowing the writing on some of these certificates even Specsavers wouldn't be able to help.

Was Thomas single when he died please?

Now I'm curious! Did Mary and her daughter marry a father and son?

There's this family in 1911

So William would have been a widower when he married Mary (if that's the correct William. His death is registered in 1948 at Hillhead (same district. as Mary)

Not seeing a definite death for the son William but he may have died before the mmn is shown on the index.
