The record post with a dob of 27 Jul 1891 might well have been his father.

Googling her married name brings up a news letter word doc for St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Meriden. Unless there are 2 people with the same name, she might have still been alive in Feb 2018.

I might email the minister. If it does turn out to be our distant relative, then for her privacy, this thread will be deleted (but only after the info has been copied off line!!)

Emailed last night, but did say we were extremely distantly related. If the daughter replies, then I’ll ask then. If not, then so be it. The dd/mm shown on the newsletter does match with the one on the passenger list!
Assuming she is still alive, she’d be 98 :-D
