Find Ancestors

I am researching for a friend and believe that one of his Great x 5 Grandfathers was Abraham Broom born c 1675 in Oxfordshire who then married Mary Swingman at Bucknell, Ox, Sept 1700. If anyone can help, I would like to find information for the births of both Abraham and Mary.

A tree on Ancestry shows the OPC

Looking at the original Parish Register for Bucknell, the entry has
Abraham Broom ( something Labourer inserted) married to May/MAry Swingman at Little Harwood in the County of Bucks Month ? which 1st AD 1700

Not finding baptisms for either

You're probably very lucky to have got back that far back.

Just hunting around, you may well have all these records

?Their children, Bucknell is less than 3 miles from Bicester but it's only the Bucknell baptism that names the Mother.

Also original will on same site - Sarah sole legatee, widow and one of the next of Kin. Will proved at Bicester with paperwork naming Sarah as Executrix because Abraham hadn't named one. Estate worth under £100

An Ancestry tree has "your" Abraham's burial as 7 June 1738 at Bucknell (it has an OPC attached) and Mary's as March 1744.

Mary is shown as born at Little Harwood (there is a Little HOrwood in Bucks)

son Abraham is listed as died 1783

there are no swingman's born in england the name must be spelt wrong

wonder if this is mary Mary Wenman

Although I have thanked everyone that helped with info on Abraham Broom c 1675 I believe that I have some additional, helpful info. Having looked at all of the info provided and particularly that by Malyon I have looked further at some records. In the 'Oxfordshire, England, Church of England Baptism, Marriages, and Burials, 1538-1812' I have found a Mary Wenman, baptised 25 April 1671 at Bampton but her father is given as Antony not Antonij. In the same records, I have found another Mary Wenman, born 17 Sept 1671, baptised 2 Oct 1671 at Witney, St Mary, Oxfordshire. This Mary's father is given as Fran Wenman. At the moment I have no way of knowing which if either, later married Abraham Broom in 1700. Hope this helps.
