1861 - family also in Leyton, to try and get an idea of where Robert may have been for them to have met

I think that his full name is a bit of a red herring as is father -------- I tried just

Robert Drake at roughly the same age as Charlotte with no father in the search

came up with some in area where dock workers may have lived 1861 and
1871 from which I think I may have the answer

I have seen a farrier translated as farmer sometimes.

yes it definitely looks like "farmer" in this record, originally poasted by Catherine, but copied again below.
His father is also a farmer.

If it's meant to be farrier, then the writer has put in an extra downstroke. Twice.
