Find Ancestors

Help please.. I've recently started my family tree, and I'm enjoying getting into it but my wife is finding hard as we can't find much on her family.

We know that her dad's name is Kumar pathmanathan and he married Juliana Lucas. Her father is frank lucas who married Gabrielle Muller... frank is from Scotland and Gabrielle is German.... we have no real info regarding them.

Any help at all is very much appreciated.

Not sure he's yours though looking at the entry number. Entry numbers stat at 001 each year and his is 778 so perhaps for a birth later in the year than February.. You maybe need a marriage certificate to find his father's name.

So was she born in Germany?? Did her parents meet and marry there

Is she stil alive ? Can't she give info on her birth and parents

We have all info on Kumar pathmanathan and Juliana pathmanathan, (unsure if Juliana is still alive, or if she is still pathmanathan, lucas or A N other there is no contact between my wife and her mother for a number of years)

We have the marriage certificate from Kumar and Juliana which lead us to frank lucas, we know Frank's wife was called Gabrelle Muller. But cannot find a marriage certificate for them, we are at this point unsure if they did marry,

The death certificate seems correct as we had a date of birth for 1910 and our frank lucas died in 1970 in Kiddlington Oxford. Now that is where we are now.

We can't find a birth certificate but we know he was Scottish, we have no marriage certificate and unsure if they married, we know he worked along side the American armed forces, and we know they lived in Oxfordshire.

well your best bet is to get franks death cert to see who the informant was

Juliana was def still in the cardiff area to 2002 . the name is quite unique plus the age fits for her possible birth

It may be Frank married abroad but the marriage didnt last so his death cert may hold a clue

He seems to be the son of Frank Lucas and Isabella Seth who married in Glasgow in 1907.

We are certain he died in 1970, he past away 10 days be for the birth of mathana pathmanathan. Thank you for the probate info I will look into that!
