Isaac was born in 1834-36 In Abergavenny son of Roger a wheelwright/carpenter.

I have his marriage certificate to Harriet Ballard on 7 May 1854 in Bromham and he was living in Trowbridge. I have just found a daughter Harriet Jane born in Dec qtr 1854 in Trowbridge. His second daughter Emma was born in Abergavenny. The marriage states he was of full age (probably not true as he was only 16 in 1851 and on all that I have found of him he was an iron moulder by trade.

I have never found him from his marriage onwards though I have all census of Emma. He registered Emma's birth in April 1859.

There is a tree on ancestry which suggests he died in USA, which I suspect is not true as they have him marrying out there and his baptism as the son of Isaac & Ann though the tree itself states son Roger & Jane!

However his brother was out in USA for some time as he had 2 children born out there and then returned to Wales. I do not have access to world wide ancestry and wondered if someone could look at this for me please.

the 1898 death has a newspaper article which states that that death was in a coal mining accident which I was tempted to discard as Isaac had always described himself as an iron moulder (apprentice in 1851)

Just to discount this one - there are 2 Isaac Prosser's on the 1841 census - yours in Abergavenny and this one in Whitson s/o Isaac and Ann

That is the correct marriage but his father is Roger (I have a copy of the original certificate)

greyghost yes I found that and I think that is where the tree I found goes wrong, mixing up the 2 Isaacs

I agree that the 1898 one is probably that Isacc

I do have Emma's birth certificate as she is my great grandmother

I would guess that Albert Prosser is Albert Charles Parsons Ballard born in district Bath in 1853 mmn Ballard

There are so many Prosser families in the area, most of them with similar names.

I don't think the marriage to Thomas is the right one. I have Harriet, still a widow, in both 1881 and 1891. Though she does have a Thomas boarding with he but age 44 in 81 and 50 in 91!

Charles C - Harriet was a servant in bath in 1851

I suspect that the harriet in that article Chris is a different one, but who knows it might be right
