Then there is another James Coleman BEECHING who married Annie HORAN in 1877 (surname is in index as BUCHING, reg 4471).

They had 9 children 1879-1897, including James Coleman BEECHING III b. 1879 (he must be the one who served in WWII and died in 1966, above).

James died in 1937 aged 83, so born c1854. According to his death he was born in South Australia. Found a matching birth in 1855 to James BEECHING and Elizabeth CHAPMAN in Adelaide (reg 5/121). Can't see their arrival.

James Coleman BEECHING had children in Victoria Australia with Elizabeth CHAPMAN:

Elizabeth remarried twice after James died - first in 1875 to James COWLEY and then in 1887 to Samuel HASSELL/HASELL. Her 1894 death notice:
