Not seeeing the family on the 1939 register

Son of Richard John and Dorothy Alice Jones, of Kelvedon.

Order it through the order form but you will have to have the copy sent through the post cost £9.25

It's the pilot scheme that only goes to 1917 as they introduced that scheme in 2017 and have held it at the 100 year closure for the actual birth info to be online

That is for the Pilot project Graham, you should be able to order for 1922 like we used to (been a while since I have though!) would have thought there must be a way, perhaps somebody else knows...

Noted and have tried but they only go to 1917 as previously noted they do not go beyond this year. Unless you can tell me a way of accessing 1923 on their site. But date stops at 1917.

Further to your kind help. Wondered if you could advise where I can obtain a copy of his birth certificate as the GRO only goes to 1917, and he was born 1923. Have certificates for all the above, except his.

just to confirm birth

...........the two brothers:-
Births Sep 1916 (>99%)
Jones Robert J Smith Braintree 4a 1561
Births Mar 1921 (>99%)
Jones Leonard W Smith Braintree 4a 1596

and looks as though there may have been a sister:-
Births Dec 1927 (>99%)
Jones Winifred M Smith Braintree 4a J'40


however:-
the only marriage I can see is this one

so maybe she was married before?

His mother is as your details Mother from Essex father not sure.

But believe details above are the correct ones so will try to obtain copy of birth certificate.

Do you know where his parents were from please? or his mothers maiden name?

Trying to find birth date and birth certificate for my Uncle, Born 1923 and died 27/01/1944 (Killed in action). Born In Essex lived High Street, Kelvedon.
Mother was Dorothy Alice Jones and Father Richard John Jones. He had two older brothers Robert John and Leonard William (My Father).

Any help appreciated
