Malcolm...Have you any idea where James or the children were born..?

When you say he was in the Irish Free State 1940 and in the Army...do you mean he was living in the Republic and /or was in the Free State Army...

Malcolm

Malcolm Report 3 Jan 2018 22:25

Hi.
I am looking for any information on my great grandfather James Doolan born approx 1875 -1880 who was in the Irish free state in 1940 and in the army.
I know of two daughters:
Mary Elizabeth Doolan born 1899 and married Charles Wallin in Gosport Hants UK in 1920.
Dorothy Helen Doolan born 1915 who married George Nicholls in Quetta India in 1940.

I have contacted the Irish Military Archives Cathal Barracks Dublin, but they have several James Doolan and require further information.

Regards
Malcolm.
