Safc. Sorry the name Morris didn't click at first, but seeing dad as Edwin that Jessie married Joseph Heaton, and I ordered the certificate, so its not my Jessie. In looking for Jessie Morris Kensington you have shown me a Jessie Thompson, a Jessie Miller and a Jessie Woodley, all born in 1875 Kensington. All those surnames were her sisters married names, maybe one is Jesse Gearing? These are worth looking into.
Safc. Yes William Whinrey is Jessie's Brother. the dad John Thomas Gearing died in 1870.
Mary. Yes that 1871 shows Ann as a widow.
Emily married Thomas Woodley story on Ancestry looking for Mary both Emily and Thomas died in the war in 1844.
Ann T (T came from other trees, some put Theresa) This T helps me know my Ann by putting T, because mum Ann was married to John Thomas Gearing, but Ann T dad on the wedding reads William Gearing not John. There is a Miller tree, where Ann T married William Miller. They have a child that married in Canada and when marrying put her mums names as Thackerrey. I think Thackerrye was an error due to the 1901 census above where her gran was living near them all. Also William Miller signed Jessie wedding as a witness to James Measures
Mary Adelaide married Thomas Dickeson . Mary is the story where they're looking for her birth like with Jessie. There mum Ann as Thackerrey died giving Mary's, address, she worked most of her later life in the workwouse. I can't find any younger life.
Maria died aged abt 2.
Jessies dad reads Henry.
See this tree is a hard on to crack :-)
On all Jessie's Measures Children she put she was a Gearing as maiden name. Also her first child was named Jessie, so it make me think she was a Jessie?.
Thank you for all looking.

Can anyone solve my tree? Jessie has a brother William Whinrey B 1858 (named after his G/dad), sister Frances Maria b 1859, Elizabeth Ann B 1861, Emily Jane B. 1863, Catherine B 1865, Ann B 1866, Mary Adelaide B 1865, Maria Charlotte B 1870.
On Ancestry message board there was a post looking for Mary Gearing. (lady that posted it has passed away) It reads this. SHE'S BEEN FOUND!. After a lot of searching we've managed to find Mary Adelaide's baptism (though still no trace in the GRO index, so no birth cert). Almost everything I was told by mother an grandmother was wrong, but I think Mary Adelaide herself believed it to be true. Firstly her birth date was 26 Jun 1868 (not 26 july 1871 which was the date she herself used). her father was John Gearing (he died Jan 1870) he was a carpenter not a painter (but his father was a printer - I can see some miscopying here). also she was born in St Giles holborn, not Lambeth, her parents did live in Lambeth for a time and some of her siblings were born there. But she WAS a cigar maker (in fact that's how we found her - mum had remarried, on the 1891 census under stepdad's name). I've certainly made the most of my Ancestry with this search, which involved downloading page of the census, until I found a likely looking candidate, and then checking BMD records for feasibility. Then I had to go to London to look at church records. All this however has taken me right back to Mary Adelaide's grandparents, and way before civil registration, so it was effort well worth making.
If I can find Mary it might help me find Jessie Birth. My tree is a little confusing.
I think Jessie Gearing mum was known (not sure if that's her birth name) as Ann/Annie, she couldn't write, so all the above children link via family members signing the weddings. Jessie Mum, Ann I think was Witton?, her dad was a Tailor called William?. Ann as Witton married Charles Ashley, he died soon after, so she married John Thomas Gearing, he died in 1870, so won't be Jessie dad like with the others. Mum Ann then married James Thackerrey. Ann Died at Daughter Mary (the post above about Mary also having no birth, but she found a baptism ) Mary was married to surname Dickeson.
When Jessie Married James Measures her dad read Henry Gearing a cabinet maker. Her mum was married to John and he died before Jessie was born.
Also Jessie mum Ann might have a sister Mary b 1817 married Thompson and sister Sarah 1827 married Robert Pardy/Purdy. The name Purdy signs wedding certificate.
Look up a Census 1901 James Measures 28 Jessie Measures 25 Jessie Measures 4 Mabel Measures 4 Weeks Annie Thackerey 25
the name above this reads Ann Miller (I think this is Jessie sister) William Miller is a witness on Jessie wedding.
Any help on finding Jessie baptism would be great, because I can't find anything. With all this info I can't find, Jessie, or where her mum and dad came from.
There is a Jessie born the same year, she married and her dad was Edwin, this isn't my Jessie, as my Jessie married James Measures.
Thank you x
