Finding world war 1 soldier

Trying to find out about George Frederick Carrott born 1897 Lincolnshire he served in the First World War but I don't know anything else is anything coming up please ?

Your heading says WW2, but WW1 in the post.

If it's WW2, then his records would still be with the MOD.

Up to 70% of WW1 records were destroyed during WW2 bombing although medal cards have survived. Unfortunately if there a number of men with the same name or initials, there's no way to conclusively say which is yours.

As we're off out, hopefully someone else can look for those on your behalf.
