I am trying to research the deeks family which was my grandmothers maiden name on my mothers side, I think her name was jane and they came from the Lambeth area of London., any help would be appreciated.

Any idea of a time scale

There are loads of Jane Deeks on the records so you need to narrow it down please

Can you give an idea of dates please. My grandma was born in the 1880's but people born today could have grannies born a century later.

And any more information that you know at all that might help.

The Deeks name seems familiar though .Have we looked at them before ?

All I know is she passed away in 1928 and had two sisters one was called Alice..,

There is no death in 1928 in UK for a Jane Deeks.

Deeks was familiar to me until I realised it was Barbara Windsor's family name on WDYTYA. I bet that's where you remember it from.

In her case she had Deeks that came from Suffolk to the East End of London
