Berwickshire News and General Advertiser - Tuesday 26 May 1903
Deaths
At 26 North Street, Duns, on the 23rd May, Mary Gibson, widow of Robert Young, hawker, aged 69.

Berwickshire News and General Advertiser - Tuesday 24 May 1904

In Memoriam
In loving memory of my dear Mother, Mary Young who died at 26 North Street, Dun, May 23 1903.
One year has passed, I remember well
As I sat beside her bed to bid a long farewell;
With tearful eyes I watched and saw her pass away.
And though I loved her dearly I could not maker her stay.

Thanks everyone.
Tried,Helena,Ellen, varients of Ellen, even Nellie, seem to remember my Gran mentioning a Nellie Blyth, didnot find anything.
Death of Mary was registered by eldest son John.
1891 census is correct,my mistake.
In 1885 Helen had a son called William Watson Young,no fathers name on birth certificate,he died two days later,no record of a William Watson marrying a Young.
I may have missed her on scotlandspeople, like I did with her uncle in the 1851 census.only William I did not check, two years before I twigged.

Only one Helen Young married in Berwickshire 1891 - 1901, to a William Aitchison in 1899.

But that was in Edrom , not Duns., and none of the Helen Aitchisons in 1901 seem to be your Helen.

One Helen Young and one Ellen Young died in Berwickshire during those ten years, but the ages are wrong for your Helen.

You said you'd found her in 1901. Did you mean 1891? I can't see her in 1901 - at least not so far.

EDIT:
sorry, just realised you have that.

Helen was born 1861, in Ladykirk,Scottish Borders
Her parents were Robert Young/Mary Gibson.Last recorded location was in Scottish Census of 1901 with her mother in Duns.nothing found after that.
Have searched Scotlandspeople for her but to no avail.Thinking that she may have gone to Berwick, her mothers birthplace, and married there.Have no access to English records as all family are Scottish.
Help needed.
