Buy a copy of the Marriage Certificate from GRO. The marriage took place in 1951
That'll give her father's name if she knew it, and her declared age. The witnesses might be from her side of the family.

Freebmd shows 3 births for girls with the same name & area 1920-1934. Without the father's name as a checking point, its extremely difficult to know which one is hers.

Does the friend know of any siblings - her aunts or uncles? If she does, it might be possible to work out the correct person.

Margaret Jones, if Jones is the surname she continued/continues to use, would be difficult to trace.
