No mother's name shown on GRO index:

ARMSTRONG, VEEVY VIOLA -
GRO Reference: 1913 J Quarter in BOLTON Volume 08C Page 874

But from the birth record posted by safc, her mother's name was Armstrong - so presumably unmarried.
