Find Ancestors

Have just discovered a tree on Ancestry , belonging to James Stewart Rattray, which says her parents were Ellen Meger, born 1813 Cork, and Michael Ryan, born 1813 Ireland.
Both apparently emigrated to New York at some time between 1851 and 1880, and both died there, uncertain date.

It also says this is Michael & Ellen in 1880 - but they're common names, and there's nothing to prove that these are the correct people:

The tree says Anne married David Sculley in Ireland in 1858, but doesn't offer any proof.

Returning to your original question of who Ann's parents were:

The 1861 census above says that Ann(e) was born in Limerick.

If that's correct, then this is the only birth showing on Ancestry - but I can't guarantee that's it's the right Ann(e), as there are various census records for people of that name born in Ireland:
