Is it just possible that the M. R (although quite clearly written as such) actually signifies 'Mrs. R Lance' ?

Indeed a possibility, which stupidly I did not think of, M R Lance, being the wife of Richard again, has me somewhat flummoxed as I had her down as being Rosina -r Roseina Lance ( nee Brooker???) Richard Lance and they married 17 December 1865 at St Marys Portsea Hampshire. :-S

Hi Carol. Benjamin may have happened to have stayed overnight at his grandparents on the eve of the census.

Just as I thought I was getting to the bottom of my family tree I found this out
that Benjamin Watts junior looks as though he moved in with his Grandfather but I cant get the original record up to see the street where they lived. Can any one do this for me please? Its very strange has his mother and father ( benjamin Watts Senior) lived in Walthamstow with the rest of the family and I think if my suspicions are correct they are in roads parallel to each other ie, Coppermill Lane. but who is M R Lance in relation to the rest of the family too.
