It's possible that Bridget is a second wife and Edward's first wife, and mother of Mary Ann died.

I came across that record and questioned whether it was a link......looking at the age of bridget there is only 11 years between her and mary ann.

Lynn

Lynn Report 12 Nov 2016 13:37

Mary Ann Burns from Enniskillen married John Cookson from Preston in St Thomas's Parish Preston in 1883. The marriage details show the brides father as being called Edward Burns who was a Hawker.

Mary Ann Burns was born c. 1855 ( some records show approX 1857)

Can anyone please help to trace Edward Burns or Mary Anns Mother...I'm assuming he too was from Ireland but I also understand that the term Hawker relates to a traveller and so may not be.....any help would be gratefully appreciated..regards Lynn
