Hi Joseph Moon was my Great x3 Grandfather he was Born in Hawkhurst Kent .
1801 .
Joseph Married Hurst Green Sussex area firstly Frances(FANNY ) Freeland They had Sarah /Joseph and John Moon (John my great x2 Grandad). Joseph senior was around 42 when Fanny Died and in 1845 Joseph married Salehurst area Phoebe Harmer ,I do believe they lived near to Etchingham Sussex with around 7 children .
what I would like to know is there anyone in Genes that is Related to This Joseph Moon .who knows who Josephs parents are .I have seen a record of a baptism saying a Joseph Moon was baptised in Sandhurst and his Parents were John and Elizabeth at about the time Joseph would have been baptised , I thought at one stage it was Elizabeth Wickens but have been told by another grand child it is not ,so im starting a fresh .
I know for 100 percent that Joseph is my Greatx 3 Grandfather , so I wonder is there any one out there who knows anything about his parents .Joseph and Phoebe and young family spent Most of their life in Etchingham /Hurst Green/ Tiecehurst Sussex area ,as the children got older they spred their wings .but Joseph and Phoebe stayed put

If he remarried in 1845 then you could buy the certificate. It should give you his father's name and occupation which should help or confirm anything found.

Thank you all so much ,you have helped me no end .im looking at that James may be MY Josephs uncle ,As due to Josephs baptism im still assuming Joseph born 1801 Hawkhurst is son of John and Elizabeth ,but James could be one of Johns Brotheres ,,
