Find Ancestors

Hi,

Could some kind person please look on the above records for Thomas Goodacre death abt 1814 Leicestershire, would like to see if its one who died in Wymeswold and if any other family is meantioned please.

There was two Thomas who died in Wymeswold one in 1814 and one in 1815 so trying to sort out which one is mine.

This seems to be a big coincidence, both getting buried on the same day but a year apart.




This seems to be a different man.

Residence: Leicestershire, England

This is really hard to read but he was a gentleman, late of Northampton but from Lan? in Leicester. His wife was Mary.


EDIT Lan? could possibly be Leir.

I've found the document and saved it - attached it to a PM for you, but GR doesn't seem to be sending the PM.

I know only one of those Thomas was born in wymeswold one married an Mary ? dont know where yet and the other married an Elizabeth.

Nottsgirl. The Thomas Goodacre who was buried Dec 14 1814 appears to be the son of William and Jane he was Baptised Nov 19 1735.

In 1757 Thomas Goodacre married Elizabeth Smith.

Hi Eringobragh yes I've seen that christening the problem is that Chris says the Will says he was Thomas the younger whcih means to me he was the son of a Thomas.

Chris sorry you put probate date as 15 Oct 1814 but thomas wasnt buried until Dec 1814 also the link you sent says 8 May 1818 sorry to be a pain unless I got it wrong.

Right there was 2 Thomas in Wymeswold one born abt 1730 and one born 1735 there is only a christening for the one in 1735 and not one for 1730 both dying 1814/15 one married to a Mary and their son William born 1763 was my 4th g-grandfather. There other Thomas married Elizabeth Smith there son William was born 1765 and died the same year.

I was hoping to sort out which Thomas was which.

The document is the Will of the Thomas Goodacre "the younger, late of Leir, Leicestershire, and now of the town of Northampton"
His Will was proved on 14th October 1814.

It mentions "my dear and loving wife Mary Goodacre".

Thank you anyway but I dont think it's my Thomas Goodacre as that Will was proved in Oct 1814 and my Thomas was buried in Dec 1814 or Dec 1815.
