Thanks for looking Chris- I did think it was a long shot, but always good to get another pair of eyes. I just can't believe there isn't a hint of them- although it doesn't help that I don't have a clue as to the whereabouts in Ireland.

If Susan was born c1820 and Ann was born c1833 I assume there were siblings born inbetween.

Hope something turns up AQ...(being one that 'viewed', but nothing helpful to add!)

Hoping someone can help.

Ann Crossgrove married James Neil in 1858 Bridgeton,Glasgow,Lanark,Scotland (Catholic Chapel).
On the marriage certificate her parents are Thomas Crossgrove (labourer) and Anne Goodwin (Anne listed as deceased).

Ann died in 1863- her parents are listed as John Crossgrove (joiner- deceased) and Anne Goodwin (deceased).
----------------------------------------------

I believe this is Ann in 1851 with her sister:

1851 England, Wales & Scotland Census Transcription
81, Bridgegate Street, St James, Lanarkshire, Scotland

William Brown Head Married Male 38 1813 Nail Maker Journeyman Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland
Susan Brown Wife Married Female 31 1820 Domestic Duties Ireland
Robert Brown Son - Male 12 1839 At Home England
William Brown Son - Male 2 1849 At Home Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland
John Brown Son - Male 1 1850 At Home Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland
Ann Crossgrave Sister-In-Law - Female 19 1832 Power Loom Weaver Ireland
John Morgan Lodger Widower Male 21 1830 Nail Maker Journeyman Ireland

Her sister Susan died in 1885- her father is listed as Thomas COSGROVE (joiner).
----------------------------------------------

This is Ann in 1861:

1861 England, Wales & Scotland Census Transcription
John Street, Gartsherrie Quoad Sacra, Lanarkshire, Scotland

Ann Neil Wife Married Female 28 1833 Engine Keeper Wife Ireland
Mary Neil Daughter - Female 1 1860 - Bathgate, Linlithgowshire (West Lothian), Scotland
-------------------------------------------

So I am looking for a marriage in Ireland between Thomas Crossgrove and Anne Goodwin before 1820, or baptisms for Susan or Ann. Variations on the surname include COSGROVE, COSGRAVE, CROSSGRAVE, CROSSGROVE, CROSGROVE and probably more!
