I'm doing the Richardson side of my tree they all seem to have gone to USA
could someone look up the censuses for me I have Ann Coffey married to Thomas Richardson not sure where they married Ann was born in Ireland 1810 Thomas in Scotland 1804 ancestry have 1851 census Wellington Canada & 1891 Canada she died Dec 1891 according to Find a grave I'm hoping they have their children with them so I can check on ages and where thet were born

Anyone can search the Canadian census thru 1916 and get free images via:

However, I don't really like the search facility - my preference is to do a free search at Ancestry - I don't have a sub, so I only get limited details, but I can determine the age and spelling of the names I wish to check out (LAC uses the Ancestry transcription).
It also can be useful to add a keyword for LAC - I used Wellington.

I think this is Thos's lot - note it's the lot his eldest son is on in 1901.
Also, in 1951-2, he's living near a W Shand who seems to be occupying Conc 3 Lot 5 (W 1/2)
There's no compass rose on the concession map - N is the top right corner

If you go to https://www.google.com/maps/ and look up Shands Ontario, it's abt 5km NE of Fergus, on County Rd 18 (and the Grand R) at the junction with Line Rd 2.
Go to satellite view, and you can see there are 5 lots on Line Rd 2 between County 18 and the Elamosa-Garafraxa Townline.
The Richardson's owned the middle one one the NE side of Line Rd 2.

Most later ON double lots (200 ac) are 20 chns x 100 chns and usually halved to 20 x 50 chns (80chns = 1 mile).
I guess this is an early lot, and is 33.33 chns x 30 chns (as a halved double lot).

Even in the 1840s, there was a lot of pressure to get land surveyed and settled.
The govt were keen to fill the countryside with potential militiamen - it was only 30 y since the US had marched up the Thames valley from the Niagara-Detroit frontier, destroying farms en route to destroying Toronto.
So there wasn't really any standard enforced - as soon as a township was surveyed, it was opened up for settlement.
