Possibly his death - so before the 1939 register was complied which would have shown a DOB
(my maths say he should be 53 by Qtr 2 1939 from birth reg in Qtr 1 1886, so either the wrong man or a mistake by informant of the death)

His birth registration - you may have to order the birth certificate for his actual date of birth - there are 6 weeks allowed in which to register a birth so he could have been born as early as mid-November 1885

Hi

I'm trying to find my Great Grandfathers date of birth to add to a family grave stone. None of my family know the exact date he was born.

I have completed my family tree and know his year and place of birth but haven't come across the exact date on any of the documents I have viewed. I would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction! Thanks.
