Someone has the certificate on Ancestry- Elsie's age looks like 29 (possibly 25) to me..

Possible for them in 1939 (Daughter had already left home):

Turner Household (2 People) 43 Akid Street , Manchester C.B., Lancashire,
Joseph Turner 04 Jul 1889 Male Gravel Digger Heavy Worker Married
Elsie Turner 01 Mar 1889 Female Unpaid Domestic Duties Married
---------------------------------------

I'm not spotting any records for her

not sure that could be her she is very young to be a servant but most girls of that age were even if they came from good homes if that's her in 1939 she is a domestic

MarieCeleste Report 13 Jun 2013 20:32

Have been trying to trace them by address on the 1911 census but can't really make out what it is.

On the image of the marriage it looks like they both lived in the same street which could be Banyon or Banyer Street. He lived at no 49 and she lived at no 78.

It seems to be 6 letters and is BA*Y** St

More info from the image if it helps:

Joseph (24) a barman, father James a labourer

Elsie (25) no occupation, father Charles retired.

Neither married before.

Witnesses: John Henry Cheetham and Jane Cheetham.

EDIT:
Seeing as Jane Cheetham's maiden name was Turner they're obviously from Joseph's side.
