Find Ancestors

Please can anyone help? I am in Aust.
. My GGF Patrick Furlong's marr.cert (marr. 1872 in Aust) says he was born (C1836) Wexford Ireland- parents were Richard Furlong and Bridget (nee McCarthy) - I think I have found siblings for GGF Patrick Furlong, a Mary Bapt. 1833 at Davidtown, County Wexford :Margaret Bapt. 1828 , same place, William 1835 Bapt. at Parish of Lobinstowns County of Meath. All had parents as Richard and Bridget. have been searching for any info on this family, deaths etc. Have not found any info on Bridget McCarthy the mother as yet. Just looking for confirmation of family so can be definite to add into Fam/tree.

This is probably not the right couple, as the time gap between 1808 and 1836 seems too much, and it also would mean Bridget had maybe been married before - but it's Davidstown, so I'll throw it in, in case:

Actually, this one looks like much more of a possibility - but only a possibility, as both names are common, and could well be a different couple:

Furlong Mary June 9 1833 Parents Richard Furlong and Brid. Carty
Godparents Patrick Jordan and Brid.Furlong.
The above shows the Furlongs resided in Holme Park

There are others I am sure but the Registers are very difficult to read in some places the earlier you go back and although the Marriage Registers are available prior to Johanna's Baptism they appear to be mixed in with Baptisms.

This is the earliest mention so far I can find for Furlong.....

Came across Richard Furlong and Brid.Larkin still having children in 1823.

I Have checked the Baptismal Register for William b 1835 Lobinstown and it gives parents as Richard Furlong and Bridget Furlong.
Baptismal date 29 Oct.1835
Godparents. Patrick Morgan and Mary Gaynor

I would be inclined to think that this is not the couple from the Co Wexford it seems to me that a Richard Furlong married a Bridget Furlong not uncommon for families with same surnames to marry.

You could check out the Lobinstown Registers.
