I still don't see a marriage- or them travelling to Canada- but this appears to be Richard and Mary together in 1906 (Badly transcribed):

\Thanks all, Freereg has Thomas being buried at Thorpe St peter on 10.1.1877.
The Mary Ann Pacey married in 1883 at Boston is shown as the daughter of George Pacey, which means that it is not the widow of Thomas.

Ann that is the right baptism thanks
If they died in Boston in 1877, that would explain their non-appearance in the 1881 census. I will pursue that through my local library records. Thanks

The tree that I saw on Ancestry says that Thomas died 1877 but not Mary Ann. I think that this is her with daughter Rosetta in 1881:

I cannot find them on the 1881 census. Can anyone help please
