Could anybody explain why somebodys married name would be on the 1939 register when they were born 1934
Vivian M West(Deighton) found a marriage to a George C West 1952
any explanation !!!!

The data from the 1939 census was used when they set up the NHS and it was continually updated up until around 1991 so the married names have been added and maiden names crossed through over the years.
