Hi Carol

Can you give us the details of the 1911 census.

When and where was your Grandfather born......and who were his parents?

Perhaps the child belonged to one of the sisters?

A copy of the child's birth cert would tell you who the parent/parents were.

I am a virtual beginner to all this :-)
I have been tracing my maternal side and looking at the 1911 census have found that my grandfather, then aged 18, was living with his father, two older sisters and an "illegitimate" baby girl aged 1. This is a complete surprise to me and grandads youngest daughter, my aunt. How on earth can I find out more about this child? Such as who was the father/mother? Did she survive?

Thanks for your time
Carol
