Thanks Chris but I've already checked other trees on here and I have details ftrom bathbmd too. Also have Edward's Christening. I also know Edward's ancestors.

From my searches on here and Ancestry, some people have different Weeks families mixed up! Hence why I have all of Edward Weeks family BDM's.

To find if any other Genes Members are researching names, you need to check 'Search All Member Trees' (top right of page here), under 'Search'.

They are working their way through the GRO death index, and are opening the 1939 if they are confident they've a good match.

My father's, who died 2006, has been opened, & only I would have been likely to have requested it. My mother died 3 years earlier; the last time I'd looked it was still closed.
It's probably easier to match males as they are less likely to have changed to, or taken, a different surname.

I don't know that they will alter the information.

I was quite shocked to see my late mother-in-law's brother's DOB revealed as he only died in 2006, yet mother-in--law's is not available to view (she died over 20 years ago) .but I knew her and her siblings DOB's anyway.

Regarding the DOB's, I presume they were taken from details submitted from Death Registrations, and we know that they are not to be relied on..

It would be interesting to know just how many other people have found errors on the 1939 Registration?

I think they might be swamped with corrections.

Just proves you need the Birth Certificates!

Once they've reviewed the corrections you submitted, they ought to be altered. At least, that's what they say should happen!

Anyone else tracing the Weeks family -originated from Somerset.
Some lived in Bath, Bristol and surounding areas.

Just be aware that I've found a lot of DOB errors and incorrect first names and one was recordered as Wicks!

My late mother-in-law was a Weeks and I'm referring to her grandfather, aunts and uncles on the 1939 Registers that have the errors.
