Would like to find WW1 records of my Gt Uncle. His name was Julius Onslow Clarke b 1885-1924. Have no idea of what service he was in but would have thought it would be Army. He was from London. His name is unusual so maybe easier to find. He went missing at the end of the war in France and returned to UK saying he had lost his memory. Meanwhile his wife Alice had remarried!!! Any help please.

Thanks Maddie, I like the part saying he was a bit of a naughty boy. Wonder what he did! No luck with where and what he did in the war?
I do not subscribe to find my past-----too dear for me I'm afraid.

if you take a free 2 week trial and then cancel you will be able to download his record.
It shows he kept getting into trouble, interesting reading. :-)

If you can wait until later today Jennifer I have downloaded the 4 images from Findmypast and I will get my son to help me attach them to a private message and send them to you. Not quite sure how to do it myself - I always get it wrong when I try myself.

Yes that.s him and right with the parents. His father did drop the Onslow name as i had terrible trouble finding his death. It was under Henry in 1902!
