you don't find much information on those early Parish Registers, not even the name of the fathers, and very often not the occupation of the groom.

and you never find where anyone came from.

On Registers after July 1 1837, you get their "address" .......... which may or may not be correct :-)

If Banns were called, they had to be called in the Parish in which each lived, and they had to be paid for. So you find that the same address is given for both bride and groom on many certificates.

This does not necessarily mean that they did in fact live at the same address ........... one may have left a suitcase at the address for the requisite period of time.
