Fowler family Aston Tirrold

HI
The Fowler family, a mother and 2 daughters were send to stay in Aston Tirrold/Aston Upthrope during the 2nd world war. I am trying to find out who they stay with in the villlage

If you had an address, the 1939 register can be searched by address.

Have you got some names the mums name may appear on the 1939'register but the children may be closed records

The mother was Alice Fowler who died last year

I have try the Aston web site above when i was looking for my grandfather but they were of no help. They did not reply ,but got in touch when they wont so help with a family member from the first world warr

Local Newspapers often get requests, Parish Magazines etc., names jog memories sometimes...

Have you found Alice Fowler on the 1939 register please?

If they were evacuees, the may have stayed with any family in the village that could accommodate them. They may not have been related to the family.

Hi Reginald Dix was my dad uncle. My nan was Mary Dix and she married William Richard Brown born Aston Tirrold in 1900. Aston Tirrold is on one side of Moreton road and Aston Upthrope on the other side of Moreton road.

Have looked at parish register for Fowler so far only found one a marriage in 1835

Maybe she didn't move at the beginning of the war but evacuated later in WW2

Where was the family living pre 1939. . When were the children born
