Yes I was thinking the same PricklyHolly. Are you able to tell me the address for the 1891 census please. .. I can not seem to find it on Genes.. A possible unaccounted second marriage.

I am not seeing an appropriate death for a Jane Goldstein between 1881 and 1891.

Having sad that......there does not appear to be a marriage for Isaac to a Jane between 1871 and 1881, so perhaps she died under her maiden name. Or perhaps they just separated.

Edit:

There is this death if her age is incorrect on the 1881 census......

There are no immigration records for those travelling to UK from Europe.

Is there anyone who could help me in finding an immigration record for a Isaac Goldstein 1811 - 1893. Believed to have been born in Plotskah / Poland.

The 1871 and 1881 census's gave the following information regarding Isaac.

1871 census: 47 Goulston Street, St Mary, Whitechapel
Isaac Goldstein (head) widow, age 60, born 1811, Poland, A Hebrew teacher and Eliza (daughter) age 13, born 1858 Poland.

1881 Census: 47 Goulstone Street, Whitechapel.
Isaac Goldstein (married) head, age 68, a bookseller, born Plolskah, Poland..Jane Goldstein (wife) age 67 born Poland and Woolf Woolf?? , Grandson (wharehouseman) age 15 born 1866, Mile End, Middlesex.


This may have been Issac in 1841. Traveling back and forth to Poland. ?????????
