Thank you AnnCardiff, all that you have posted agrees with what I have found and I also squirreled out 7 children for them but have been unable to pick the correct year between 1792 and 1796 and don't know whether there are any othere sources that will produce this?

Apologies Chris, AnnCardif and Gins but I have been elsewhere since yesterday lunchtime and not read your posts until now.

Revisiting all the info I have accumulated on these families, connected with the Adams/Pettinger marriage 1882, I have solved all my niggles and am now in a position to record it all in my tree, in time for the arrival of my new grandson, due any time soon!
