Just had a look at the Card Catalogue on Ancestry.

They do list St Nicholas, Liverpool but there is a gap in the records from 1882-1900 inclusive.

Hi I have seen the Lancs BMD...stuck on William Nolan's father's name he says he was born in Birkenhead c1842..he died in Toxteth in 1901 at Denton St I can't find a William Nolan born in or around Birkenhead.....
