Margaret ........ I also found those Banns last night, and couldn't find the marriage, try though I might. I tried all the sites that I know about.

One Public Family Tree has August 27 as the date of their marriage, but the link was to the Banns.

Maybe they kept calling off the marriage, and just lived together!

The only bit of information to be gathered from the Banns was that Abraham was a Bachelor and Martha a Spinster, and both were "of this Parish". But that doesn't tell us where they were born.

Unfortunately, even if we could find the marriage, it would not give the names of the fathers, though the witnesses could be a clue if they were family members.

Curiously there are banns posted for Abraham Wootten and Martha Webber 5, 12 and 19 August 1827 and again 25 Feb, 4 and 11 March 1832 but I can't find the marriage.

The children Ann Elizabeth and Charles were both baptised 19 June 1826.

would these be their deaths?

Deaths Jun 1873
WOOTTON Martha 76 Pancras 1b 59

Deaths Mar 1869
Wootton Abraham 81 Pancras 1b 111

if so, he may have been a little older than the 1841 suggests

I haven't been able to find any Martha or Abraham in 1851 or 1861 who would fit yours or those deaths

malyon .................

Josephine said in her OP that Abraham's wife was Martha Webber .............

and there are two different Abraham's of about the same age. You've picked the other one.

The Woottens are in a separate household on the 1841 Census, although living in the same house. Abraham is a Clerk

Does anyone know the parents of Abraham Wootten who married Martha Webber. Cannot find them at all (they are not the Brackley Woottens).
