Arthur Walch son of James Walch -Help still needed

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

Jennifer Report 21 Mar 2016 10:51

Im looking for a James Walch circa 1832. His son Arthur ( circa 1853) says, on his marriage certificate, that he was born in Hammersmith in 1853. This is dubious as his age varies by 2 years in each census after his marriage. We are unable to find him in any census prior to his marriage or any record of his birth. He says on his marriage certificate that his father was James and was deceased at the time of his marriage.

My thanks for all of the replies, much appreciated.
I'm following a couple of leads offered and ultimately would like to find a birth date for Arthur and then his birth certificate. This has become more difficult by the varying date of birth.
Any additional information would be great.
Thanks
Jenny

Jenny ............

for future reference ..........

please do NOT tick any post unless your query has been COMPLETELY answered.

That is what the tick on GR indicates ....... not that the information is correct.

The tick therefore means that other helpers probably will not bother checking the thread to see if they can help.

Unfortunately, it is a quirk of GR that the tick cannot be reversed ...... it is impossible to remove it once ticked.

The most you can do, and this is a good idea, is to change the title oft he thread to add something like "help still needed".

To do that ...........

click on EDIT on the top line of your opening post ....... be certain sure not to click on Delete or you will lose the whole thread.

Another screen will open, with both the title line and your opening post. Just add the extra words in the title box.

Click Submit.
