Thank you Dea. Florence does not ring any bells at all.

I think it is a visit to the Newham library for me.

This lady was there in 1964/65 if it is of any help?

Name: Florence D Threakall
Year: 1965
County or Borough: West Ham
Ward or Division/Constituency: Park Crescent
Street address: 73 Carnarvon Road Carnarvon
Reference Number: LCC/PER/B/3082

She is showing at another address in 1939 so I don't know what year she moved in to the above address:

Adcock Household (5 People) 98 Romford Road , West Ham C.B., Essex, England

First name(s) Last name(s) DOB Occupation
**Florence D Threakall 17 Jul 1905 Kitchen Matron
Annie J Adcock 21 Jun 1878 Moral Welfare Worker
Daisy A Grimes 02 Nov 1893 Under Paid Domestic Duties
Grace Fitch 29 Jun 1914 Domestic Worker

You could try contacting the library local to the Carnarvon Road address and they should be able to look up on the electoral roll for you for around 1955 - they 'may' make a small charge.

She was not born until 1928 so will not show in 1939.

As I said it was a long shot. I was curious to know who she went to live with in 1955, but as I say 1939-1955 was a long gap.

John

If you are OK to give your moms name/DOB, it might help find her in 1939

If your mom is still living, she will not show in 1939 but her parents might

Thank you

It was just a longshot. My mother moved there in 1955 after leaving home. I was hoping that the 1939 register may give me some clues.

I guess though that 1939-1955 is too much of a long gap.

I am going to have to make a trip to Newham Council offices to look at the electoral register of 1955.
