The death certificate has no spouse details (although it does have his parents) - the informants were the police so I am guessing they did not know

Hes also in the Marines register,which gives the name of his vessel and positon held,cause of death,where died,(Bignold Hospital Wick) age and home address,but no spouse details.

No the certificate has him as 42...there are only four Peter Taylors who died in Scotland between 1893 and 1968 and the one in Caithness is one of them. He fractured his skull - presumably in an accident - as the police were the informants. And it's on Scotlands People, nowhere else

the only peter who died in that area in 1911 is 59yrs old could be a mistake
